St. Paul's United Church of Christ, was organized when 22 people signed a paper signifying their willingness to become members of a new church. In 1872, a lot was purchased, and on October 15th of the same year these 22 people became the German Reformed Church of Milltown.

On Pentecost Sunday, June 1, 1873, 54 members dedicated the new wooden structure church with basement and bell tower. There was a congregation, there was a building, and on August 1, 1875, the congregation called it's first Pastor, the Rev G.B. Schick. This action relieved the Rev. C. Bank, the Pastor of St. John's in New Brunswick, of his duties as interim Pastor.

On June 10, 1879, the church was officially incorporated as the German Reformed Evangelical St. Paul's Church. The congregation had grown in size, spirituality and service to the community thanks to the dedication of several Pastors and the dedication of the laity.

In 1909, a resolution was passed to add a brick apse to the church in order to accommodate a new pipe organ.

A growing congregation meant that the present facilities were inadequate, so on the 50th anniversary of the congregation, a decision was made to erect a new sanctuary. It was also decided to move the old sanctuary to the rear of the property and convert it into a fellowship hall.

In 1957, the Congregational Christian Churches merged with the Evangelical and Reformed Church to become the United Church of Christ, changing the name of the congregation to

St. Paul's United Church of Christ

A few months after the 75th anniversary of the congregation, there was a ground breaking ceremony for a new education building.

St. Paul's United Church of Christ today, has approximately 300 families and continues to build on its past by seeking to grow in the knowledge and love of God and neighbor.
