Letters…

Dear Rev. Weyer:

Just a note to thank you and the members of the Church and Sunday School who provided the lovely Thanksgiving treats for the elderly.

My mom, Lillian Peterson, enjoyed your visit so much and is sharing her treats with her friends at the home.  It means so much to these folks to be remembered.  She’s still talking about your visit and how happy it made her.  Thank you so much.

Give my best to your family and to everyone.  I miss you and my old church so much.  I do go to a local church here.  The people are friendly and made me feel welcome but I still miss you all.

May God bless you all!

Thank you so much for the great package of "goodies" for Thanksgiving.  I really am having a blast eating all the wonderful things you so generously gave.  Thank you again!

Dear Children of St. Paul’s,

Thank you for the goodies and the Inspirational book you sent me for Thanksgiving.

It is so nice to be remembered at this special time of the year.

I wish you have a Merry Christmas and that Santa Claus will be good to you.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Rose Holsten

To the Children & Teachers
of St. Paul’s Church School!

I was really surprised when I received the Thanksgiving Turkey package of sugar free candy and other goodies you gave me.  It was deeply appreciated and was very thoughtful of you.

I want to thank each and everyone of the happy hands that prepared the package.

I have a lot to be thankful for and am counting my blessing.  Thank you, again.

Sincerely,
Clarence Soulea

Dear Sunday School Children and Teacher,

I received the turkey for Thanksgiving. I kept it on my dining room table so that all my friends could see it. Boy what a surprise I got when I opened it with my daughter (wow!)   I could not believe how many cookies you got in that turkey.

My daughter and I had coffee and enjoyed your cookies.

Thank you so very much for the cookies and your teacher too.

Yours,
Taimi Barr

Many thanks for sending the Thanksgiving "turkey"!   You are all to be commended on your artistic ability.   I especially enjoyed the "stuffing."

Thanks again - I expect to be back at St. Paul’s very soon.

Sincerely,
Richard Semar

To My Friends at St. Paul’s,

I want to thank everyone who sent me cards, called me on the phone, visited me and brought me goodies.   It made my shut-in days more pleasant.

Have Happy and Blessed Holidays

Esther & Martha Circle

The Martha & Esther Circle met at the home of Doris Weber on Monday evening, December 18th with 14 members present.   Alice Plantec led our devotions with an inspiring Christmas reading and a message by Rev. Robert Schuller.   Our leader, Evelyn Junker, summarized the next few months Guild and church activities.

In lieu of a Christmas grab bag, we made a donation to the Needy Cases Fund totaling $165.00.  There will be NO January Circle meeting.  We will meet in February at the home of Arlene Kuhlthau on February 19th, 2001 - Grace Novello will have devotions.

Thank you Doris for the delicious supper in your festively-decorated home - and for those thought-provoking Christmas games (they were really hum-dingers)!!! The true Christmas spirit was truly evident at our meeting.

The Martha & Esther Circle wishes to all a very happy, healthy New Year!!!
