Come Thirsty will be our focus THIS LENT, which begins on February 9th.

Small groups will study and worship will focus on the absolute truth of Jesus’ promise that He is the living water found in scripture and Max Lucado’s magnificent book.

Communion Offering

January’s communion offering will be used to sponsor children who live in poverty through World Vision.  $30 a month per child will provide such basic needs as food, medical care and shelter.  Our hope is that the January communion offering will allow us to sponsor two children.
Once we sponsor these two children we will provide the congregation with the children’s names and addresses.  We will send letters to the children monthly and keep informed of what is happening in the lives of these two children.

The Junior Youth Group has been sponsoring this 2nd grader from the Philippines for a couple of years.

In his letter to them he wrote that he recently received school supplies and birthday cards. His favorite subject is math and English.  He has joined the tree planting activity at school.  He has joined a Bible study and belongs to a cell group and prayer meeting.  He wrote,

Gift Cards For Sale

The Sr. Youth Group will continue to take orders the 1st and 2nd Sunday’s of the month for gift cards. We made a profit of $750 from our sales in Nov. & Dec.  The proceeds will be used to finance our mission trip to Savannah in July 2005.
