Classic Bananas Foster

INGREDIENTS FOR 2

Butter 1/4 Cup
Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup
Ripe Bananas 2
Rum 1/4 Cup
Vanilla Ice Cream

INSTRUCTIONS

In a sauté pan over medium heat, melt the butter, then add the brown sugar.
Mix with a wooden spoon until smooth.

Peel and slice bananas in half lengthwise. Add to butter/sugar mixture.
Then turn heat to high. Sauté together for 1 minute.
(be careful not to break up the banana)

REMOVE PAN FROM HEAT. Add rum, then return pan to high heat.
The rum should catch fire and caramelize the bananas.
When the flame goes out, spoon over Ice Cream and serve.

FYI- 
Did you know Banana Trees are not trees? The Banana Plant is a giant herb.
One variety called the "Ice Cream Banana" is Blue and turns yellow when ripe. 
   They say it tastes like chicken. I'm kidding, it tastes like Ice Cream.
