7th-12th Grades

FEBRUARY 1

Spaghetti Dinner

Set up for the dinner starts at 2 p.m.

FEBRUARY 2

Pre-martial Sex – 7 p.m.

If you read the above and thought it meant there would be pre-martial sex at 7 p.m. you DEFINITELY need to come to this meeting. We will talk about the pros and cons and the Biblical perspective of pre-martial sex.

FEBRUARY 16/17

Lock In – 7 p.m. – 9 a.m.

We will meet at the bowling alley for the Bowl-a-thon.  After bowling we will return to the social hall and watch Music Videos. Bring a tape with your favorite music video.

Spaghetti Dinner

The Senior Youth Group invites you to attend our All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday, February 1st from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

 

 

Jr. Youth Group

February 9th, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Lunch and a visit to the Parker Home to lead worship

February 23rd, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Bring a Friend/Bring a Game/Bring Fun Food to share for Dinner

We'll prepare for our participation in worship on March 2nd.

 

 

DC Count Down

The Senior Youth Group will be going to Washington DC on June 22 for five days of partnering with urban ministries to serve the elderly, homeless and children in need.

We will also have time to visit the Capital, Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean Memorials. Take part in a scavenger hunt at Union Station and participate in a YouthWorks! Olympics.

 

 

Bowl – a – Thon

The Sr. Youth Group is having a bowl-a-thon on Sunday, February 16th from 8 p.m. to midnight.

You can help by:

Volunteering to bowl - All bowlers will pay for their own bowling and need to be sponsored.  You don’t have to be a teen to bowl.

Sponsor a bowler – Pledge a specific amount of money per game, per hours bowled, per pins knocked down or left standing or a flat amount.

Sign up in the church office or church narthex and take a sponsor sheet.

 

 

$ 21,800.44 Deficit

Our 2002 expenses were $14,018.26 less than budgeted, but our income was $35,818.70 less than budgeted as well.  This resulted in a $21,800.44 deficit for the year.  In order to fulfill our financial obligation $21,800.44 had to be taken from our endowment fund.

 

 

Come to the Lord’s Table

On Sunday, February 2nd we gather around the Table of our Lord to receive the sacrament of communion.

Please bring an offering of food with you. Any packaged food item would be appreciated.

Are you looking for a life-changing encounter with God’s Word from the Book of Proverbs?

Come to the confirmation room on Wednesday’s at 1 p.m. and join our discussion.

February topics will include the Blessings of righteousness and Humility versus Pride.

You are invited to pray with pastor and other members of the congregation every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the choir room.
