Music at St. Paul’s

Children’s Choir

Our children began rehearsing on January 14th in preparation for our first anthem in 2007. We will sing “What a Godly Thing” on Feb. 11th. Thanks to Mrs. Cheeseman for teaching us sign language to accompany our song.

New singers are always welcome! We
rehearse in the chapel on Sundays, from 11:30 – noon. The children will sing about once a month in worship.

Adult Choir

The adult choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:30-9 pm. New members (youth and adults) are welcome, and an ability to read music is a plus but not required. Upcoming special events include:

Ash Wednesday service – a combined choir with the Methodist church. The service will be held at 7:30 pm on February 21st at the Methodist Church.

Holy Week services – We will soon be preparing music for our Tenebrae service and for the two Easter morning services.

Praise Team

Instrumentalists rehearse at 8:00 am on Sunday mornings, and new players are always welcome.

Women’s Sunday

February 4th!

We will celebrate Women’s Sunday on February 4th with a women’s choir. The day’s anthem will be presented by the women of the adult choir, plus any women interested in joining us for the morning!

Women: would you like to sing? Come at 9:00 am on Feb. 4th to the choir room for a rehearsal. The anthem will be easy so that we can prepare it that day.

Christmas Pageant

Thank you so much to everyone who helped to make this year’s Christmas Pageant a success:

To Sunday School teachers for their assistance in getting kids to practice, and their help with keeping the rehearsal chaos to a minimum.

To parents for getting their children to rehearsals, and helping them to learn their lines and songs.

To Emily for giving of her time to help the children learn the music.

To Pastor Rich for his inspired performance as Santa.

And especially to the children. Your hard work, cooperation and enthusiasm never cease to amaze me.

Thank you to all!
Elana Kircher
