Lent begins early this year because Easter is March 23rd. The theme for Lent is 40 Days with the Son. I am asking you to submit your favorite Jesus story from one of the gospels. I need your submission by January 6th.

We will be hosting the joint Ash Wednesday service with the Methodist Church at 7:30pm.

For the second year in a row we finished financially in the black. Expenses $257,028.41 Income $261,529.71

YOU made it happen. Your generous giving of your time, talent and treasure made it possible.

Envelope; Special Offerings and Interest from our investments exceeded what we had budgeted.

Spending was kept in check as a result of careful spending, negotiating contracts and the donation of time and talents by the congregation. As an example: within the last three weeks Mike Keiser and his dad installed a water heater for the bathrooms, Marc Slifkin repaired the laptop computer and Greg Jones repaired the garage door, all three donating their labor as well as some materials.

There are many more people who have given generously of their time in the service of God. To all of you, and you know who you are, I say THANK YOU!

May 2008 be a year when we will continue to allow our giving to be a joyful expression of our love for God and the ministry He calls us to do.
