Dear Members,

On December 6, 2007 our group of faithful volunteers who prepare and serve a hot dinner the first Sunday of every month at Elijah’s Promise was invited to a “Volunteer Appreciation Reception”. This truly was a great occasion to see how necessary but appreciated, we are to all classes of people. It is a program reaching out to many who are less fortunate than others.

During the award presentation, awards were given to churches as well as individuals. On behalf of St. Paul’s Church we proudly accepted one of the awards for our church and to our group of special people who have given a great deal of time, love, and care to this project!

So, to:
Dr. Grace Kothari
Evelyn & Don Schaible
Margaret Schmidt
Jane Osman
Linda Griffin

THANK YOU for the many years you have given quality time, love and dedication.

I (Dot Madell) work with Dr. Kothari as a coordinator for getting the supplies for a quality meal but also work to stay within a budget for St. Paul’s Church. For over twelve years our group of volunteers has been working with Elijah’s Promise. On December 2, 2007 between 110 and 120 people were served. On January 6, 2008, 142 people were served.

Volunteers are always needed! Your help will be great appreciated! Maybe you can help make a difference in someone’s life and make a donation to Elijah’s Promise! Perhaps we could give a communion offering on a Sunday of one month!

God Bless,
Dot Madell

Thank you so much for bringing us joy and happiness this Christmas season.

We enjoyed the Christmas carolers and appreciated the poinsettia and fruit platter. Our thanks also to the Junior Youth Group for the beautiful cross they made for us.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year.

St. Paul’s Church,

I enjoyed the Christmas carolers who came to my home and want to thank every one of them for their familiar songs.

The poinsettia they brought was greatly appreciated and is still blooming beautifully.

Thanks to the Women’s Guild also for the delicious tray of fruit.

The church calendar is now in use.

It was so nice to be remembered by my church family.

Sincerely,
Marie Wilder

Dear Pastor Rich and St. Paul’s Congregation,

Just a few notes to thank the carolers for coming to my apartment and singing. It was a wonderful day and their voices were like angels. I enjoyed them so much and my neighbor who is Egyptian came when they left and said she heard them and that they were beautiful.

I want to thank you for the lovely poinsettia, and the fruit, and the calendar. It will be by my side all year. I really appreciated all my gifts.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful, happy, healthy, joyous New Year.

Love and regards,
Margaret Downey

Pastor Rich,

I just wanted to let you know that RJ, my mum and I did make it to the Christmas Service on Monday night at 9. I don’t remember ever being to a candle light service before and thought it was very beautiful. The service itself was also very nice and you seemed to believe and enjoy everything you were saying and passing on to those listening. It has been a long time since I have been to church – forgot how much I liked it.

Also, thank you for having such an “open door” policy at the church. RJ and I have felt very at home and welcomed from the second we walked in to meet you over the summer.

Thanks again,
Cheri
