| Religion may help keep people with heart disease alive, says researchers at the University of Texas who tracked 232 open-heart-surgery patients for six months. They found that the risk of dying was three times greater for patients who didn’t attend services regularly. None of the patients who considered themselves deeply religious died during the study. |
