Recipe of the Month

Sicilian Tuna & Bean Salad

Serves 2

Ingredients
-1 Can Cannelloni Beans
-1 Can of Tuna (In Oil)
-1 Small Red Onion
-Lemon Juice
-Olive Oil
-Fresh Parsley

Instructions-
Drain the Tuna, place in a mixing bowl and flake apart.
Drain and rinse the beans, add to the Tuna.
Finely chop the Onion, add to the tuna.
Chop Parsley and add to mixture.
Add Olive Oil (2tblspoons +/-) and the same amount of Lemon Juice. Salt & Pepper to taste.
Keep at room temperature, fold to mix before serving.

This is a great lunch, and would be a great topping for Costini.

Women's Guild Meeting

FEBRUARY 25, 2008

The business meeting of the Women’s Guild was held on Monday, February 25, 2008 at ll:30 a.m. in the Social Hall. (Of course we had our lunch first!!!)

Correspondence was read by the Secretary, Marjorie Conger, which included the "thank you" notes for the many gifts and donations we had made at Christmas time. Treasurer, Grace Novello, gave her report as of 2/24/08 of monies in the Guild, Organ Fund and Ruth Circle. A motion was made and approved that we donate $500.00 to the Youth Group for their Tricky Tray Mission Fund raiser. Also, another motion was made and approved that we purchase shades for the Sunday School room outside the chapel. After discussion, it was decided to place $10,000 in a Certificate of Deposit for future projects.

Doris thanked everyone for their participation in the holiday projects, soup sales, Women’s Sunday Church Service and the reception after the Organ Recital. We were reminded to bake cakes for the Men’s Roast Beef Dinner in May.

In April our Ingathering letter will be sent asking our church members for help in supporting our many benevolent projects.

Doris closed the meeting with devotions and then we all sang “God Will Take Care Of You”. The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 28 at ll:30 a.m. in the Social Hall.
