Letters.......

Dear Rich, Consistory Members and all St. Paul’s
Parishioners,

Thank you again for your generous donation to the Interfaith Network of Care, in order to continue its services   to people who are homebound or who have disabilities and their caregivers. Without your
donation of space, we would be a ministry without a
home - and what a great home base St. Paul’s
continues to be for us!

Thank you so much!

May God Bless You All,
I.N.C. Board, Sue, Charleen & Kathy

Dear Pastor Weyer,

Thank you for your letter of March 28 and the
generous donation of $100.00…Your church’s
donation will enable 21 Bibles or 71 Testaments to be
purchased and placed.  We can pray that many
precious souls will come to a saving faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ as a result of these Scriptures being distributed.

Pastor Weyer, we especially appreciate your prayerful support for this ministry and extend our thanks to your congregation for its donation and prayers.

Sincerely yours in Christ,
Frederick R. Swan, Jr.
The Gideon Society

Dear Children of St. Paul’s,
Care of Cathy -

I want to thank you for the wonderful baskets that
you sent me for Easter.

It is little Angels like you that make such beautiful
days for shut ins and people who aren’t fortunate enough to have wonderful grandchildren to love.

I hope your Easter was all you hoped for and more.

I know it is always more blessed to give than receive well, in this case I can say it was great to receive and
I really and truly appreciated it.

I know God will watch over all of you and give you
all extra blessings for all the beautiful baskets you
have made and delivered to me and other shut ins
this Easter. ..I’m sure they all thank you and know
God has you in his love and prayers.

Love,
Peggy Downey

Martha & Esther Circle

The Martha and Esther Circle met on Monday, April 17th at the home of Marjorie Conger - we were happy with the large attendance - it was truly a "full house"!!!   Marie Rittman had devotions and the message was "Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled" along with scripture reading from John 14.

The leader, Evelyn Junker, reviewed the "calendar of events" for both the Guild and church activities.  There are many various ways in which we can serve our church and our God.  We continue working on our service project.

The next meeting will be held on May 15th at the home of Doris Weber - Flo Torok will have devotions.

Marjorie Conger, Secretary

VBS

Looking for an "Out of this World" way to spend a week of your summer?  Then join us at The SonZone Discovery Center Vacation Bible School which will be held from August 7-12, 2000. We are in need of adults and responsible teens to join our staff.  This year’s theme is all about discovering "GP4U" and if you want to know what that means, call Rita Migliore at (732) 940-1594 and join in on the fun.

Please consider spending some quality time with the youth of our congregation and community - for the week, a couple of days or maybe just an hour a day.  We’ll be happy to have you there.  Look for a meeting to be held in May to kick off our plans.

Upcoming Event!

We are producing a new church directory. It’s hard to believe that our last directory was done over five years ago…Our church family certainly has changed since 1995. The Church and Family Life Committee has decided to have another church directory published once again.  We will be working with Olan Mills, the same company who produced our last directory.

You will be receiving more information on this endeavor in future Tidings and in the Sunday church bulletin.  The scheduled dates set for pictures to be taken are as follows: Thursday, August 17, Friday, August 18, Saturday, August 19, Thursday, September 28, Friday, September 29, & Saturday, September 30, 2000.

Any questions can be directed to Doris Weber or Diane Weyer!

Thank You!

Thank You!

Thank You!

A sincere "Thank you" to all the members of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and friends, not only from Milltown, but other local area’s for their overwhelming response in making our Wednesday Lenten Services a great success for the millennium year 2000.

Over the years our simple Lenten dinners have grown and are a fine example of community fellowship.  The program and film have become an important part of the Lenten season.

I would like to convey my sincerest gratitude for the love and support of so many caring unselfish people who have helped in the kitchen, sold and collected tickets, and those that baked and donated the delicious desserts!   To the people who donated the beautiful hand crafted items for the raffles - Thank you!

Our dinners, the program, helping hands, and dedication have helped St. Paul’s in its ministry which signifies once again, "the efforts of many, benefit all!"

God’s blessings on each and everyone, with gratitude to God.

Sincerely,
Dot Madell
