Moving Forward by Faith

The life of faith is one that takes God at His Word. It is one that involves every area of our lives, including how we use the resources, which God has provided for us.  Living by faith involves our time, talent and treasure.

Most of us have no problem giving God our time and talent, but some seem to have a problem when it comes to their treasure:  God owns everything.  We are just managing what rightfully belongs to Him.

Dear Children of St. Paul’s Sunday School,

Your beautiful Easter basket filled with delicious goodies was a great surprise to me.

Thank you so very much for thinking of me and sending a remembrance with a thoughtful message attached.

Dear St. Paul's,

I understand from my life-long friend, Ethel Corrado, that the congregation worked together to create the repast for her mother, Irma Crawford.  I’m sure in spirit and caring, much more was done.  That amount of giving is so difficult to find today.  I hope this modest contribution will help to continue your parishioner’s wonderful sense of giving.

God bless you all,
Sondra Phillips

Dear Members of St. Paul’s,

Thank you for the beautiful lily that gives a lovely fragrance to my home.  Also a special thanks to the Sunday School for the pretty Easter Basket decorated and filled with goodies and card signed by Caroline.

I miss not being able to get to church and appreciate the thoughtfulness.

God bless you,

Hi Pastor,

A quick note to say what a great job the Sr. Youth Group did on Sunday.  I was taken by the four views of the crucifixion and the song choices were great!!

What are we calling it? Well, since the Tidings deadline is before the first time we’re trying it, we don’t know what we’re calling it or whether anyone came! But we will plan to go out in May for fellowship, food and fun!  The tentative date to join us for dinner and sharing the faith is May 24, but watch the bulletin or call Linda Jones, Maryanne Stout or Linda Griffin for more info.
