Men of St. Paul's

NEXT MEETING MAY 3rd

We met Monday, April 5th for a time of fellowship & a delicious roast beef and kielbasa dinner prepared by Dot Madell. We discussed the question: what is the most significant problem facing man today? A number of issues were raised including: time management, priorities, spirituality, stewardship, and the realization that we are living in an impersonal world utilizing more electronic devices and less face to face contact.

We began making arrangements for our key fund raising event the Roast Beef Dinner on May 8th. Any men able to volunteer their time to help serve dinner, please see Rob Ramsen. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The Men’s group has committed to working a concession stand at the Somerset Patriots Game on May 31st. We are seeking adult volunteers to help.  If you are interested, please see Pastor Rich or Rob Ramsen. The proceeds will go to support the youth mission trip to Port Huron.

It sure was quiet without a certain duo in attendance – hope to see you next time.

All MEN, YOU are invited to join us Monday, May 3rd at 6:30 PM in the social hall for a time of fellowship.

Respectfully yours,
Chuck Gzemski

Have an Open Heart…
and an
Open Hand

Openness is willingness and nothing pleases GOD more than a heart that willingly yields to HIM and a hand that willingly gives to HIM.

Income vs. Expenses

THROUGH MARCH 2004

Income $54,469.32

Expense $64,849.80

Gain/(Loss) ($10,380.48)

Last year through March we had a loss of ($15,363.90).

In spite of a $10,380.48 deficit there is GOOD NEWS. The snow and heating season is over. We spent $8,991.14 heating our buildings and $3,125. for snow removal in the first three months of this year.  Our snow removal bill would have been $950 higher if Interfaith Network of Care did not pick up the last snow removal bill.

Envelope income is up 12% for the first 3 months of 2004.
