Junior Youth Group

Tricky Tray

The Junior Youth Group will be putting together a basket for the Senior Youth Group Tricky Tray fundraiser. The kids decided to make a coffee and hot cocoa basket. I am asking any families that would like to participate to donate $5.00 so that I can purchase the items for the basket.

Outreach Project

At our last two meetings, I asked the kids for ideas about how they would like to help others. I’ve asked the kids to come back to our next meeting with specific ideas, not just who they would like to help, but where these people are and how they want to help them. When we have a few workable ideas, we will vote on our favorite and I will get the word out to you about next steps. Please discuss your child’s ideas with them, and help them to find specific information.

Our schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows:

Sunday, May 4th, 6-8 p.m.

Discussion: TBD
Devotional: Chris Paley

Sunday, May 18th, 6-8 p.m.

Outreach Project

Letters…

Dear Pastor Weyer,

Please thank the children in the Sunday School class for the nice Valentine. I appreciated it very much and set it up in my bay window.

I am so sorry this note is so late. I left for Florida a few days after February 14th and didn’t arrive home till the end of March.

I just had to let the children know how much they touched my heart.

Sincerely,
Irma Lou Hubbs

Dear Rev. Weyer and Friends:

On behalf of the Stout Family we want to thank you for your kind and generous monetary gift to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia along with your many prayers.

We may never understand God’s calling but hope that your donations will help find a remission of some childhood cancers.

Michelle & Greg, Tara’s parents, have many days that prove very difficult but their faith that there is a better place and knowing their daughter is there enables them to bear each day.

Madison & Morgan, Tara’s sisters, will be making their First Holy Communion next month and so wish their older sister could have been with them physically because she is always with them in their hearts. I am sure she will be watching.

Thanks again for your many prayers and your very thoughtful donation, God Bless All of You.

Sincerely,
Pat & Donald Stout
(Tara’s Grandma & Grandpa)
