Introducing

Rhonda Lemezis

Rhonda is a second year student at Princeton Theological Seminary.  She will be our student minister from September through May.  Originally from Florida, she now resides in Somerset with her husband, Ron and four children.  She was raised in the Baptist Church.  Her home church is St. Philips Church in Staten Island which is pastored by Rev. Tony Baker, Sr.  Since she has no church commitments for June she has agreed to assist in worship and pastoral calling.

God Rules

THE WORLD THROUGH
THE PRAYERS OF HIS PEOPLE

Thursday mornings at 9:30 A.M. help God rule
by participating in a 30 minute prayer service
held in our sanctuary.

God, Where were You?

A child was overheard praying, "Where were you God?
Why did you let my best friend get shot in school."
The person who overheard the boy’s prayer said,
"God’s not in school because it’s against the law for Him to be there."

Mayor Bradford has passed on to me a petition, started by the

Honorable Bea Cerkez,

past president of the NJ Conference of Mayors,
to Return Prayer to the Schools.

Copies of that petition are available for you to sign
in the narthex and in the social hall.

I would ask that everyone who signs this petition
to return prayer to the school,
show their commitment by returning prayer to the home as well.

Graduates

On
Sunday, June 25
we will honor our graduates.  If you are a member of the
Class of 2000,
please call the church office by
Sunday, June 18th.

Youth Group News

Sunday meetings will resume September 17th.

Check weekly bulletins and Tidings for summer youth events.

Circle Sept 10th.

It is the date of the annual adult vs. youth softball game.  Garret Conger will NOT be pitching, in spite of the fact that he did use his head last year.  Or should I say because he used his head.
