W omen’s Guild
Regular meeting was held on Wednesday, May 12th with a good attendance. Ruth Karren had devotions and her topic was “Faith With God” which was followed by the life story of a Scottish missionary, David Livingstone, whose strong faith in God sustained him. Short business meeting followed conducted by President Donna Young. Treasurer’s report was given and at which time it was voted to give $1,000.00 to the Restoration Fund. Donna reminded group leaders must have their annual reports for the June meeting. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, June 9th at 5:30 p.m. when we will have a Pot Luck Supper. Ladies of the church please join us. Flo Torok will have devotions. Church members watch for important mail from the Women’s Guild at the end of June. Ruth C. Karren |

Martha Circle
The Martha Circle met on Monday evening, May 17th in the Social Hall with our Leader, Ruth Karren, Conducting the meeting. Grace Novello’s devotions centered around that important day in May - Mother’s Day!!! She read some very inspirational poems and articles. We recognized Diane Bradford’s May birthday. After the Treasurer’s report was read, it was voted to give $250.00 to St. Paul’s Restoration Fund. The Circle decided to continue with raising funds through the sale of knives. These are made by the Rada Manufacturing Company - “Maker of the Aluminum Handle Cutlery”. Any member of the circle can be contacted for further information. There is also a limited amount of catalogs available. Ruth then led us through a very enlightening discussion of the Lord’s Prayer. We read the Lord’s Prayer as found in the New Testament and then broke down each part to find a reference in the Old Testament. This was very interesting to all of us and inspired many thoughts within our Circle. Thank You Ruth, for another thought-provoking evening. This will be our last meeting until September 20th. We wish everyone a summer filled with peace, love and happiness. Marjorie Conger |
