Pictorial Directory 2005

We are excited to announce that we are going to create a new pictorial directory of our church family. The directory will help us to connect names with faces. It will be an ideal outreach tool and will capture the history of our church congregation.

Please participate! All we ask is that you have your picture taken by the professional Photographer and meet with a Portrait Consultant at the church. Please sign up during coffee hour on June 5, 12 or 19 to get the best appointment to fit your schedule.

Every participating family/household that selects a pose for the directory will receive a free directory and a complimentary 8/10 custom natural portrait.

You will come to the church only once for photography and for portrait viewing.

The program is available at no cost to the church budget.

You will have the opportunity to order additional portraits during your scheduled appointment time.

If you wish to purchase extras, the portraits come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Whether you decide to dress formal or casual, you will want to make the most of this opportunity.

The schedule date for Photography and Portrait Viewing are:
August 11, 12 and 13 & September 20

The Junior Youth Group

The Junior Youth Group would like to thank the congregation for graciously donating on March 20 to our collection for the children of the tsunami disaster. Each of the members of the Junior Youth Group put together a School Tools box for World Vision (a Christian organization that coordinates sponsorship for children around the world, as well as aids children in various needs). They will distribute these educational tools to schools affected or destroyed by the tsunami. We are thrilled to announce that over $400.00 was donated!

Prayers of thanksgiving for all who participated in our April car wash! The $200 raised will be used to help in our sponsorship of Alan Framil of the Philippines. Please read Alan’s recent letter to us. The special Christmas donation which Alan mentions is $80 donated by the Men’s & Sr. Youth Groups collected during the wreath making. Also, Brian Gzemski, a Junior Youth Group member, raised $60 for Alan during the Men’s Roast Beef Dinner, where Brian beautifully played the piano for the guests in the Waiting Room. Thanks Brian - great job! We all enjoyed your music and are sure Alan and his family will make great use of the special donation!

Jacqueline Rotteveel very graciously came to visit us on April 10, when she discussed the Lord’s Prayer with us. Thanks Jacqueline!

Our Bake Sale in March was also a huge success. Thanks to all who bought and baked!

Thanks also to all the parents who donated their time to make meals for the Junior Youth Group.

We’re looking forward to a day of fellowship in July at the Ramsen’s pool for our end-of-the-year party (to be announced).

Also, thanks to Dawn Ramsen for co-leading the Junior Youth Group with me this year. As usual, Dawn Brought the Lord’s word closer to the children!

After many years as Junior Youth Group Leader, I step down this year (as my daughter Laura will now move on to Senior Youth Group). As always, I will pray for all the children that they continue to develop an intimate relationship with the Lord! Thank you all; it’s been my pleasure to serve! Dawn Ramsen will surely continue on as Junior Youth leader.

At the present time Gary Conger is coordinator of the Sunday morning Coffee Hours and he would like to have your help by signing up to serve as a host. There is a sign-up sheet on the kitchen counter in the Social Hall. After signing up, if you would like your name and the occasion printed in the Church Bulletin, please call Carol at the church office (732-828-0020).
