Frequently Asked Questions
About Prayer for Healing?

How does prayer for healing work?

Jesus healed people when he lived on earth. Jesus' healing ministry revealed that God intends for us to be made whole in spirit, body, mind and in all relationships. We believe that Jesus still touches people today and brings healing when the church prays. Prayer for healing is a way for us to continue Christ's healing ministry and to cooperate with God's spirit in bringing wholeness to lives. In prayer we give God permission to move and act in our lives to do whatever is necessary for our healing. We bring our specific needs to God and believe God will give us what we need most.

Why isn't everyone healed?

From our limited perspective, we don't always understand why God works as God does. But we can always trust that God is absolutely committed to our wholeness and is continually working for our good.

Although miracles of instant healing do still happen today, these gifts of God are not under our control.

Most healing is a gradual process.  Ongoing prayer is needed.  Sometimes we need to make changes in our lives before God's healing can happen.
Even if physical health does not improve, a person can experience the joy, peace, and meaning that come with a growing relationship with God. Wholeness does not come from perfect physical health, but from relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Thank you....

To all who helped in any way to get the Strawberry Festival off the ground.  Through the efforts of the faithful we were able to provide a wonderful evening of fun, fellowship and good food for all in attendance.   Our bake sale was very successful and helped to increase our profits so that we could turn over a total of $900 to the Restoration Fund.
