Communion Offering

July’s communion offering will be given to Spectrum for Living, Middlesex, Inc. This organization provides services that help people with developmental disabilities achieve their full potential. They operate two group homes, a condominium unit and an Adult training Center, which provide quality residential services and active day programs for adults with developmental disabilities.

Children & Communion

Consistory has approved the following plan of action which we prayerfully hope will provide solid Biblical understanding of communion and strengthen the fellowship of our church.

We are asking all parents with children to honor and respect the present practice of St. Paul’s that children refrain from taking communion until they are confirmed.

Communion will be served at the altar rail on
July 3rd, August 7th & September 5th. Those who are unable to come to the altar or choose not to may remain seated and be served in the pew.

Children will be invited to the altar rail to receive a blessing from Pastor Rich.

Several mailings will be sent to all members explaining the Biblical meaning of communion and what the Bible says about children receiving communion.

On September 18th there will be a special congregational meeting to vote on consistory’s recommendation to allow parent’s to determine when their child/ren may receive communion. Prior to receiving communion each child with a parent will receive instruction.

Savannah,
Here We Come

The Senior Youth Group wants to express their heartfelt gratitude to the members and friends of St. Paul’s church that have supported our fund raisers or given us donations.

Since September 2004 we have raised $19,975. to cover the cost of our mission trip to Savannah.

Twenty-four youth and six adults will leave for Savannah on July 9th and return home on July 16th.

Please keep us in your prayers.

We look forward to sharing how God used us and how God touched us on Sunday July 17th.
