Music at St. Paul's

Thank-you!

Our adult and children’s choirs have now begun their summer vacation. Give thanks to God for all who have shared their talents!

The praise team has worked faithfully all year and continues to play over the summer. Got a little extra free time this summer? Do you play an instrument? Consider joining the praise team for a Sunday or two.

Over the summer, the adult choir continues to sing but will meet at
9:15 on Sunday mornings to rehearse a familiar hymn. Guests are welcome to join us for these informal “anthems.”

In the meantime, summer is a great time to step back and say ‘thank you’ for the worship that we’ve shared. Give thanks to God for the following, who’ve shared their musical talents in worship since Sept.:

Praise team: Steve, Jeff, Bill, Diana, Greg, all the youth!

Children’s Choir: Allison, Brian, Isabella, Kristin, Megan, Sean.

Adult Choir: Allison, Bev, Diane, Dick, Doris, Emily, Erica, Greg, Kathy, Lorry, Nikki, Rick, Ruth, Sharon, Tanya.

And everyone else for occasionally joining a choir, playing an instrument, teaching sign language, parenting, giving feedback about music and worship…

Give thanks also for our organ, which is 60 years old this year! (Imagine how many hymns it has played in that time.) Over the next few months, expect to hear more about this asset: what it does, how it works, and how we can continue to care for it so that it may continue to enrich our worship in years to come.

Reverend Weyer,

Please convey my thanks and appreciation to the members of St. Paul’s for the prayers and cards sent during my hospitalization and recovery at home. It’s nice to know that even though miles separate us we are not forgotten! May God Bless you all!

Sincerely,
Dot Gerhart
