Greetings,

Can you think of anything we have forgotten?

It is inevitable that this question will be asked before the suitcases are closed and the door is locked behind you.

Every time Diane or I asks the question, we go through a mental and at times verbal checklist of things we needed to do before leaving as well as a list of things we needed to bring with us.

Confident we have everything and done everything, we leave for vacation. Most times thanks to Diane’s To Do List, we have not forgotten anything, of course Diane’s To Do List is not responsible for me forgetting my glasses on the plane.

My confidence in believing we have everything for vacation, pales in comparison to my belief that God never forgets anything. Except for our sins, which He forgets

“With everlasting love I will have compassion on you, says the Lord,
your Redeemer. I am He who blots
your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”

We can have total confidence that God forgets nothing. God’s promise of providing us with life, of sustaining our lives with daily bread, are completely trustworthy.

We worship and serve a God who will never forget us. Let us not forget this truth. More importantly let us not forget God and to give thanks to God.
