of Prayer
for Children.
You are invited to join others in the
United Church of Christ
in 40 days of prayer for
children.
Pray for a brighter future for all God’s children.
This 40 days began Sept. 12th,
and will culminate on Sunday, October 22nd.
Jesus said, "Let the children come to me,
do not hinder them."
Our prayers will bring
the childre
into the presence of God.
God’s Creation
Year 2001 Calendar
| Enjoy the beauty of God’s world every time you look at the 2001 God’s Creation Appointment Wall Calendar. This calendar is not only beautiful to look at, but useful in helping to plan and organize your schedule. Each day has ample space to write appointments or special events, like church events. Each week has a specially selected scripture verse for memorization or meditation. The youth group will be selling them throughout the month of September. You can get yours after church or at the church office. The cost is $6.00. |

Interview With God

In a dream, I had an interview with God. After exchanging pleasantries I asked God, "As a parent, what would you ask your children to do?"God replied with a smile: "To learn that they cannot make anyone love them. What is important is who they love. To learn that it takes years to build trust, and a few seconds to destroy it. To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in their lives, but who they have in their lives." TO BE CONTINUED |
Men’s Group
In the Spotlight

We are calling all those men who have a passion for God and neighbor, and a desire to participate in the ministry of the men’s group. The men’s group meets the first Monday evening of the month. At 6:30 p.m. a delicious dinner is served which cost $7. A brief business meeting is sandwiched in between dinner and the evening’s program. Each month an attempt is made to have a guest speaker talk on pertinent topics. The men’s group sponsors the Boy Scout Troop, Roast Beef and Roast Pork Dinners, and participates in many church activities. We hope to see you at our next meeting, which is October 2. |
