Let The Children Come

On Sunday, September 18th the congregation met and decided that children are permitted to receive communion at the discretion of their parents.

To insure that the integrity of the sacrament of communion is preserved every parent is urged to take this responsibility very seriously.

If your child asks about taking communion:

Inquire WHY?
Pray about it.
Request study material for you and your child to review.
Attend a communion class led by Pastor Rich

Questions & Answers

Does my child have to be a certain age?
No! You know your child’s heart better than anyone.

Does my child have to receive communion before confirmation?
No! As the parent you have the privilege of deciding when you feel your child is ready.

How will children receive communion on Sundays when they are in Sunday school?
Send your child to Sunday school. After worship you and your child will be invited into the Sunday school chapel to receive communion with our Sunday school staff.

Will my child have a 1st communion experience?
If you would like your child to receive communion for the first time from the pastor please contact me so this can be arranged.

Attention 7^th & 8^th Graders

If you are not enrolled in the confirmation class, there will be a Sunday School class just for you that meets on Sunday mornings.
