HIGHLIGHTS OF SEPTEMBER 15, 2005
CONSISTORY MEETING

Pastor Rich opened the meeting at 7:45 p.m. reading about teamwork and our responsibility to each other.

Motion to accept
June minutes passed. Motion to accept June, July and August financials passed.

Correspondence

received $30,000 from estate of Elaine Dittman.
received official transfer of property behind Education Building to church.

Church and Family -
Linda Jones reported that 105 families have scheduled pictures for Pictorial Directory. The choir is scheduled for Parker Home on October 9. We will have a booth at Milltown Pride Day on October 1.

Education - Elana reported that Sunday School begins Sunday, 9/18 with 40 Days of Community. Firelight will follow in November. Junior Youth Group will begin on 9/18 at 6:00; Senior Youth Group at 7:00 p.m. Senior Youth Group planning to go to So. Dakota for mission trip ’06. Confirmation Class to begin 9/21. So far 22 kids are signed up with a possible 7 more. Thank you to Pete Herral for donating a Cinego D-1000 DLP Projector to the Sunday School, in memory of his mother, Gladys Herral.

Finance and Administration

Motion passed to bring to November Congregational Meeting, vote to forgive Restoration Debt of $45,000 to the C.B. Roeder Fund.

Consistory agreed that the next three communion offerings should be given to Hurricane Katrina Relief efforts, preferably directly to families or local church.

Property & Grounds

Parish Hall floor needs to be replaced, will ask for tile bids. Quote to strip and wax floor was $1,600.50. Bid from Silverline Windows to complete installation of windows was $26,000-$30,000.

Old Business

40 Days of Community will begin with the Youth Group hosting a Barbeque at 6:00 p,m.on 9/24. Congregational meeting Sunday, 9/18 will have vote on children and communion.

New Business

2006 Budget was distributed.
Motion to adjourn meeting at
10:00 p.m. Next Consistory meeting will be October 13.
