Head Usher schedule for July-December to be emailed.
October Communion Offering will go to Wade Center in Bluefield, WV
Church and Family:
Communion – October 7
– Team 3
Milltown Pride Day – October
6th
Church’s 135th Anniversary Celebration will be
October 14th.
Men’s Group with Jeff Vitanza
will plan a Brunch.
Education:
Bibles will be distributed this Sunday to children in Sunday School.
A
copier/printer was purchased and installed in the Sunday School.
Junior Youth Group
and Senior Youth Group
will meet this Sunday.
Mission Trip 2008
meeting will be held this Sunday.
Senior Youth Group painted former Parlor/new 5/6 grade classroom.
Adults are very interested in Revelations – have 38 interested so
far.
Property and Grounds:
Need to work on air conditioning in Good Day and Chapel. In the
Spring, need to move air conditioners.

Need blinds in the new 5/6 grade classroom – will ask Women’s Guild
if they will pick up cost. If not, motion by
Gary Conger,
second by Jeff Conger
to take money from Capital improvement to pay for blinds.
New Business:
Set Fall Work Day for 3rd
Sunday in
November, 18.
Received estimate of $3,038.40
from Twist Carpets to carpet Confirmation Room and 5/6 classroom.
Motion approved to install new carpeting.
Need to retile entrances in school building.
2008 Budget
– Frank discussed budget concerns. Reminded all that budget will be
voted on in October.
Ministry
Teams have consisted of only consistory members so recommendation to
go back to 7:30 consistory
meeting.
Suggestion made to contact Sunrise to hold a worship service there.
Suggestion to advertise for gardener(s) to improve area surrounding
sign on Main St. Dogwoods are in bad shape, possibly remove them.
Men’s Group moving to first
Wednesday of the month,
hopefully to pick up new members.
Meeting was adjourned
at 8:43.

Thursday, October 11.
