The Golden Chain of Care

I am only one, I cannot do everything, but I can do something with the help of GOD.  Will you reach out to someone in need this winter.  Help warm the heart of some lonely person.  There are people who can no longer come to church.  Maybe you can take some of GOD’S LOVE to them.

THE GOLDEN CHAIN DOES IT ALL YEAR WITH LOVE.

Women’s Guild

Our monthly meeting was held on Wednesday, October 10th with Donna Young, presiding.

October 9th was start of Fire Prevention Week. Our speaker was Bill Petry, Fire Inspector. Following the film “Fire Power”, we had a very interesting discussion on fire safety. Thank you Bill, this was very helpful and we all learned the necessary steps for survival.

Pastor Rich installed the Guild Officers. Donna Young, President, Doris Weber, Vice President (inabsentia) Ruth Karren, Secretary, Grace Novello, Treasurer.

Donna reported from Alice Plantec’s report that we have twenty-nine shut-ins, nine in Nursing Homes and we lost six members by death.

Our Bakeless Cake Sale will be the last week in October. Look for information in the mail. We ask all parishioners and friends for your support.

Our next regular meeting will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, November 14th at 7:30 p.m. This is our Thanksgiving Offering Service.  Linda Griffin will have devotions.  Please bring canned goods, which we will send to the Crisis Center.

Ruth C. Karren
Secretary
