HIGHLIGHTS OF REGULAR MONTHLY
CONSISTORY MEETING
OCTOBER 13, 2005

Pastor Rich opened the meeting at 7:45 p.m. with a reading and discussion about “open and affirming”.

Motion to accept September minutes passed.

Motion to accept September financials passed.

Financial/Admin. Budget - discussion on how further to keep costs down, i.e. email Tidings to more members, less mailings. Also look into e-deposits for members interested in doing so. This would cut down on envelopes.

Motion to accept 2006 Budget with revisions passed. Decision was made to run stewardship drive in November.

Church and Family - Communion will be on November 6. Team 4 is scheduled, with Team 1. Parker Home on December 11th.
Pastor Rich will ask the choir how they feel about an earlier Christmas Eve service.

Education - Elana reported that Sunday School is in the middle of 40 Days of Community. Firelight will follow in November. Junior Youth Group will finish painting the back Social Hall doors in the Spring, they will participate in the 40 Days of Community celebration in November and in December learn about the Hospice program with Jacqueline. Information and permission slips for Keswick and So. Dakota were sent to Senior Youth Group. Request from head ushers to know which kids from the Confirmation Class will be ushering and when.

Property & Grounds - Rob Ramsen announced that 24 windows were completed last weekend. Fall Cleanup is scheduled for November 13 with emphasis on Social Hall Kitchen.

Spiritual Council/Elders - Meeting on October 26 at 7:30 to go over membership.

Old Business - Congregational meeting Sunday, 11/13 will have vote on budget and nominations for Consistory. Motion to officially nominate members passed.

Motion to adjourn meeting at 10:00 p.m. Next Consistory meeting will be November 10.
