December 2001

Greetings,

Here is a list of gifts and what they are worth:

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.00, in the hands of Michael Jordan it is worth $33 million.

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.00, in the hands of Randy Johnson it is worth about $10 million.

A tennis racquet in my hands is worth about $150.00, in the hands of Pete Sampras it is worth a Grand Slam Championship.

A rod in my hands is worthless; in the hands of Moses it parted a sea.

A sling shot in my hands is a kid’s toy; in the hands of David it is a mighty weapon.

Two fish and five loaves of bread in my hand is a couple of fish sandwiches, in Jesus’ hands it feeds thousands.

Nails in my hands might produce a bookshelf, in Jesus’ hands it produced salvation for you and me and the entire world.

Concerns, worries, fears in my hands lead to ulcers, heart attacks and sleepless nights; in the hands of God they become strength, peace and comfort.

The value of everything depends on whose hands it is in. This is true of the birth of Jesus.

The Birth of Jesus - was He just another baby born into the world or God incarnate?  It depends on whose hands He is in.

In your hands, what is His, Jesus’ birth, worth?

Is Jesus worth giving him your heart, your mind, your soul, your life?

My Christmas wish for you is nothing less than I wish for myself.  May Jesus be born again in your heart, in your mind and in your life.  May you profess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior but more importantly possess Jesus as Lord and Jesus.

May you have a Blessed Christmas!
