A Christmas Tithe

Is what St. Paul’s wants for Christmas this year. What is a tithe?  It is a Biblical practice of giving.  It represents one tenth of the total amount.  This Christmas would you consider a gift to the ministry of St. Paul’s in the amount equal to one tenth of the amount of money that you have spent or will spend on Christmas gifts?

Example: If you have budgeted to spend $500 dollars you would give a gift of $50 to St. Paul’s and spend the remaining $450 on the rest of your gifts.

Men of St. Paul’s

The Men of St. Paul’s met on November 4th. The meeting started off with a word of grace offered by Pastor Rich, followed by a delicious Thanksgiving feast prepared by Dot Madell. Thank you Dot. No business was transacted or discussed. Dennis, Jed and Greg – where for art thou oh fearless leaders??

Luckily Pastor Rich came prepared – as usual.  He has been leading us in discussions based on the book The Man in the Mirror. The book deals with and helps with many issues which confront modern men (sorry ladies, and no it’s not a let’s complain about our wife session).  Copies of the book are available from Pastor Rich upon request. Over the last two month’s we’ve had some rather good discussions.  I for one hope they continue.

Our next meeting will be on December 2nd.  It’s our annual meeting to help the Youth Group with wreaths.  C’mon out and help - many hands make light the work!!  Besides we have fun!

Respectfully submitted,
Jack Perry
