A Purpose Driven Life

Tuesday evening January 6^tha study of Rick Warren’s book The Purpose Driven Life, What on earth am I here for? will begin.

We will meet in the choir room for ninety minutes starting at 7:00 p.m.

The cost of the book is $12.00. Copies are available from Pastor Rich

Christmas Offerings

Make a commitment to the special giving opportunities of Advent & Christmas. What we ask is that you give a “double portion” or “supersize” your normal giving on each of the Sunday’s in Advent – and at Christmas – to give a Tithe, 10%, of what you spend on Christmas gifts as your Christmas gift to Christ’s Church.

Christmas Gift Cards

We are asking you to buy gift cards from local supermarkets and stores for families in need.

We suggest a $5:00 or $10:00 card from such stores as Target, Wall-mart, Toys ‘R’ Us, Acme, A&P, Pathmark.

Amandla’s Crossing and St. Vincent’s De Paul Society will distribute cards.

You can also make a donation of cash and we will purchase the gift cards.

Urban Legends

In a sermon I delivered in November I made mention about a Special Edition Pepsi Can that was going to contain the pledge of allegiance minus the words, ‘One Nation Under God.’

I was WRONG. This is an urban legend. It is not true.

Restoration

It is with absolute great joy and thanksgiving that I inform you that when the protective acrylic is installed on the front stained glass window all the restoration work outlined six years ago will be complete.

The final payment will come from the memorial fund since the restoration fund is depleted.
