Reverend Richard Hayes Weyer
"Pastor Rich"

Welcome to our Web site.

As you surf our site, please keep in mind that you are invited to participate in any and all of our programs of worship, education, fellowship and service.

Our purpose is........ to fulfill Jesus' Great Commandment and Great Commission.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.  Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you.

We attempt to be the church of Christ, in the true sense of the word.  A fellowship of people, diverse in background and need, yet united in faith and love of God.

If you are looking for a church to call home, I would hope you would be in contact with us either in person or by phone, email or snail mail.

In Christ’ love,

I've been married to my wonderful wife Diane since 1972.We have two sons, Adam born in 1976 and Gregory born in 1979.  Diane works as a secretary with Milltown Public Schools.

In 1999, we added a daughter-in-law to the family as Adam married Ashley.  You can share in their wedding by clicking HERE

On December 28, 2002 at 5:34 am Adam and Ashley blessed our family with the birth of Matthew Hayes. He weighed in at 7 lbs and 10 oz. and measured 20 ½ inches. Adam, Ashley and Matthew resided for a while in Lancaster, CA where Adam was the athletic trainer for the Lancaster Jethawks, the advanced A team for the Arizona Diamondbacks. They now live in Due West, SC. Adam is the head athletic trainer and assistant athletic director at Erskine College. On January 7, 2008 at 3:48pm. We were blessed with the birth of Daniel Ridge. He weighed in at 10 lbs and 11 oz. and measured 21 inches.

In 2003 we were blessed to add a daughter-in-law as Greg married Sara Mae Edeiken. Greg and Sara were living in Greenbelt MD. Greg was working with the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, pioneering a ministry to the Greeks (the fraternity and sorority students) on the campus of the University of Maryland. Greg and Sara now reside in Baltimore, MD. Greg (www.RealEstateAce.net) is a real estate broker with Jay Day and the Day Home Team. Sara is a medical student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore.

I'm a sports enthusiast. I find sports provides terrific analogies for faith and life.

One of my favorite verses of scripture is:

Isaiah 40:31
"They that wait upon the Lord,
shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings as eagles."

I love this verse so much, because the truth of it has been confirmed many times in my life.

I was raised in Union City, NJ, Graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa in 1973.  Graduated New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 1976.

Served the New Hackensack Reformed Church in Wappingers Falls, NY from 1976-1979 as an Assistant.

Served the Reformed Church of Huguenot Park in Staten Island, NY from 1979-1993 as Pastor.

I felt called by God to come to St. Paul’s, while enjoying a very fruitful ministry in Staten Island.  I thought I had more to do there, but God thought differently. I came to St. Paul’s recognizing it is a church with a rich tradition as well as a strong family heritage. My years here have been exciting and filled with many opportunities to experience the love and presence of God.

St. Paul's has always been and is still committed
to the word of God by reading the Bible.
