The story is told of an accountant who was having a hard time sleeping and went to see his physician.

"Doctor, I just can't get to sleep at night."

"Have you tried counting sheep?"

"That's the problem! I make a mistake and then spend three hours trying to find it."

Some people have a difficult time getting away from their work.  We certainly need to put 100 percent effort into our jobs, but there comes a time when we need to learn to relax. Even Jesus, as busy as he was and as important as his work was, saw the need to "get away" every now and then. I encourage you to do a study sometime and notice how many times the gospel writers tell us Jesus headed "to the mountains" and get off to himself.

"Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. And He said to them, 'Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.' For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat."
(Mark 6:30-31)

Learn to work hard, but rest well!
