Who's Controlling Your Life?
![]()
I heard recently about a company that sometimes puts on what they call "Lunch and Learn" seminars during the employees' lunchtime, dealing with a variety of physical and mental health issues. If the seminar lasts beyond the normal lunch hours, the employees are supposed to get managerial approval to attend. So, recently, this flier came around: LUNCH AND LEARN SEMINAR: WHO'S CONTROLLING YOUR LIFE? (Get your manager's permission before attending) Looks like that question's been answered! As
Christians, we know what the answer is supposed to be for
us. But it sometimes helps to remind us by asking the
question again: "Who's controlling my life?"
Jesus is often referred to in the New Testament as
"the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ". It seems to
me that we are sometimes anxious to claim Jesus as our
"Savior", but somewhat reluctant to make him
our "Lord". As our Savior, he offers us eternal
life. As our Lord, he "I
have been crucified with Christ; Who's controlling your life? Have a great day! In Jesus' name, Amen.
